Is CollegeLancer free to join?
There's a one-time registration fee of ₹100 for both students and employers. It activates the account and credits 100 coins instantly. There are no recurring subscriptions.
What are Coins?
Coins are non-transferable platform credits priced at a flat ₹1 = 1 coin, used only to pay for specific CollegeLancer features — unlocking contact details, boosting visibility, featuring listings, and AI career tools. They are not a wallet or a payment method for freelance work itself.
Does CollegeLancer process payment for the freelance work itself?
No. CollegeLancer's fees cover platform registration and coin-gated features only. Compensation for freelance projects, internships, or jobs is agreed and settled directly between the student and the employer, outside the platform.
Can I get a refund on the registration fee or coin purchases?
Registration fees and coin purchases are non-refundable, except in verified cases of technical failure — such as a double charge or a payment that was deducted but not credited within 24 hours. Refund requests must be raised within 7 days of the transaction.
Can I earn coins without paying?
Yes — coins can be earned free of charge through referrals and platform activity, in addition to being purchased in packs of 100, 300, 500, or 1000.
Are employers on CollegeLancer verified?
Yes. Every employer is verified before their listings go live, so students only see real opportunities from real companies.
