Terms and Conditions

By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of the CollegeLancer platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian), and that you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

CollegeLancer is an online platform that connects college students with employers for the purpose of finding jobs, internships, and freelance project opportunities. The Platform also provides AI-powered career tools including resume analysis, skill-gap assessment, and job matching.

CollegeLancer does not act as an employer, recruiter, or staffing agency. We facilitate connections between students and employers but are not a party to any employment, internship, or freelance contract entered into between them.

Payments for freelance work: Any compensation for freelance projects, internships, or jobs is agreed and settled directly between the student and the employer, entirely outside the Platform. CollegeLancer does not collect, hold, process, or disburse any payment on behalf of either party for the underlying work. The only payments CollegeLancer processes are for its own services — the one-time registration fee and Coin purchases described below.

You must register for an account to access most features of the Platform. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your password and account credentials
• Promptly update your account information when it changes
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• Not share your account with any other person

You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

All new accounts — student and employer — require a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of ₹100 (Indian Rupees) to activate full platform access. This fee covers the cost of account verification and platform setup.

Payment is processed securely through our third-party payment gateway partner(s). By completing the payment, you acknowledge that the registration fee is non-refundable except in cases of a technical failure as described in our Refund Policy.

CollegeLancer uses “Coins” — non-transferable platform credits — to meter access to certain premium features within the Platform (such as unlocking candidate profiles for employers, or boosting applications for students). Coins are a pricing mechanism for the Platform’s own services, not a currency, wallet, or stored-value instrument.

• Coins can be purchased via the Platform using real money, at a fixed rate disclosed at checkout
• Coins can also be earned through referrals and platform activity
• Coins have no monetary value, cannot be withdrawn, redeemed for cash, or transferred between accounts
• Coins can only be spent on Platform features — they are not usable outside CollegeLancer
• Purchased coins are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy
• We reserve the right to modify, reduce, or cancel the Coins programme at any time with reasonable notice

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content including fake job listings
• Impersonate any person, company, or institution
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Scrape, copy, or reproduce any content from the Platform without authorisation
• Circumvent any security or access-control mechanisms on the Platform
• Use the Platform for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms
• Upload content that contains viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Contact users outside the Platform for purposes unrelated to genuine employment or freelance engagement

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that we reasonably believe is in violation of these Terms.

All content on the Platform — including text, graphics, logos, software, and AI-generated outputs — is owned by or licensed to CollegeLancer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

By posting content to the Platform (such as your profile, resume, or portfolio), you grant CollegeLancer a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform.

You retain ownership of your own content and are solely responsible for ensuring it does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

The Platform integrates third-party services including payment gateway partner(s), cloud infrastructure (AWS), and authentication providers (AWS Cognito). Your use of these services is subject to the respective third-party terms and privacy policies.

CollegeLancer is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service.

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

CollegeLancer does not guarantee that any student will obtain employment, or that any employer will find a suitable candidate, through the Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CollegeLancer, its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Platform.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CollegeLancer and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

You may close your account at any time by contacting support@collegelancer.com. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund of any paid fees or remaining coins.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after such notification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
